NEW SHOP FEATURE - Regal Recommends

Our Regal Recommends section (left hand sidebar of the Shop pages) is a new section in place from Today that show cases (in our humble opinion) the most fantastic flowering orchid we have in stock.

We hope to update this feature every week with something new and each item recommended will be linked directly to its page on the main site -- so if you would like one, we recommend ordering soon because they will not hang around for long.

Our current *Regal Recommends* is the stunning Dtps Everspring Prince 'Harlequin'.

Cymbidiums are OUT! Brassias are IN!

Spring is finally struggling into Summer in the UK, the Cymbidiums and other spring flowering varieties of orchid such as Dendrobium Nobile have all finished flowering and are rapidly showing new growth. Now is the time to increase watering and feeding with a Humic acid based organic fertilizer such as GREEN MYST HUMIC to really get the new pseudobulbs to thicken and strengthen - providing the storage of energy for next years flowers.

The Brassia or Spider orchids are now starting to be available and continue right through to September - an excellent candidate being Brassada Orange Delight 'Starbeck' - a highly floriferous variety of Brassia crossed with Ada aurantiaca that gives the long petaled variety its unique orange colour. Interestingly the flowers open yellow then turn orange over the next few weeks. These are easy to grow house plants that like good watering and drainage as normal and can produce 3-4 stems of blooms every year. Some people notice a slight fragrance to them also.

Welcome !!

!! Welcome !!

To our new blog pages.

It has been suggested by our customers for a while now to have a place to post information about our orchids and the plans we have for the next year or so (that will not further clutter the main website) so here we are and welcome to you all.

It is an exciting time for Regal Orchids this year as we have finally moved from our old location (behind the Police College in Kincardine Bridge) to a new location down by the river Forth in Alloa. Although this is a stepping stone location towards our purpose built premises, this new showroom/retail outlet will greatly improve the business in a number of major ways and allow us to capitalise on the growing interest within Scotland for orchid products and to allow us to better serve our customers.
