Orchid plants are now the most popular pot plant in Europe. With so many hundreds of varieties to choose from, flowering at different times of the year, it is simply now a matter of choice over colour, shape and price. Garden centres and supermarkets will sell flowering orchids that are simply labelled 'orchid' or 'orchidee' and even if named are most often inaccurate. Unfortunately, growing instructions are vague and generic with many plants in unsuitable composts and containers and kept in the wrong environments. Prices vary dramatically and generally do not indicate a quality, strong or healthy plant.
Many wishing to buy such plants will never have grown an orchid before and may believe they die once flowering is over. This is not at all the case. Most orchids are ideally suited to centrally heated homes and can make excellent house plants that flower repeatedly year on year given the right care.

This is the main aim of Regal Orchids; to de-mystify the idea that orchids are exotic, difficult to grow and require special care and attention. We most often say that orchids require benign neglect!

Getting value for money is all about getting a quality plant with the correct advice and continued support beyond the point of purchase. Our expert staff are always just an email or telephone call away to advise on the best way to encourage your plant to flourish for many years to come. We check email at least twice a day so this is the best method of contacting us, since our office phone is not manned at all times of the day.
